A brand new login screen! The whole screen is now a live view of the world that slowly cycles between the Lumbridge bridge, the boss arena and the streets of Varrock. The UI has been re-imagined and refined for a better experience overall.
Saved accounts. Press Save on the login form and your account is remembered. Every saved account appears on the welcome screen with its headshot, name and the time it last logged in, and a single click or tap logs you straight in. Save as many accounts as you like and delete one using the X button.
Online at a glance. A saved account that is already logged in somewhere shows a green dot and Online instead of its last login, and cannot be selected until it logs out. Last login is taken from the server, so it reads the same on every device you use.
Buttons that respond. Buttons on the login screens have had a slight rework to add hover effects.
The ::bosses panel shows every kill time in bold, including Valkor solo and trio.
With Virtual levels on, your skill total reads virtual over real, for example 924/908 where 908 is your base and 924 is the base + virtual levels.
The character design screen for new accounts is centred on any window size.
Desktop client
Saved accounts are listed right on the welcome screen under New User and Existing User. Scroll the list or use the arrows when the list is taller than the client window.
Resize the window at any point, in game or at the login screen, and the login screens lay themselves out again for the new size when you log out.
Android client
The game's aspect ratio now mimics the desktop client instead of being super stretched. This carries across any mobile or tablet device.
Keyboard, rebuilt. A keyboard button sits in the top left of the game. Tap any text box and the keyboard opens by itself: bank and auction search, deposit and withdraw X, shop and duel amounts, the sleep word, adding friends, and every prompt an NPC gives you. Whatever you are typing into stays in view above the keyboard, and tapping the game closes it.
Private messages are typed straight into the chat box behind a "To name:" label, and a Global button beside the keyboard starts a ::g message for you.
Saved accounts live behind a button under New User and Existing User, on their own screen with a Back button, so the welcome screen stays uncluttered on a phone.
Battery and connection in the top bar are drawn in the game's own style and finally show the truth: a battery filled to your real charge, coloured green, amber or red, with a bolt while charging, and a wifi or signal icon. Choose icons with the percentage, icons only, or nothing at all in the Android settings.
Chat and messaging
::g is the global channel. The old Global$ friend has been removed, along with the "Hide global messages" setting. Type ::g before a message to talk to everyone. The friends tab reminds you.
Messages can be up to 240 characters and wrap onto new lines in the chat box instead of being cut off, including when you resize the window.
[General] has been changed to [Gen] to allow for slightly more screen real estate with messages.
Other
Charity has appeared in Varrock Castle collecting coins for those in need. Donate as much or as little as you like, as often as you like. Your donations add up, and as it grows she rewards you with a new set of titles: the Charitable, the Wealthy, the Loaded, The Noble and Insane. How much each one takes is her secret. She will tell you the moment you earn one, and the ::titles panel reveals the amount once it is yours.
The Obsessed. Unlock every one of Faltulah's scroll titles and this purple suffix is yours.
On the website, a player's enemy kills now have their own page with a rank for every enemy, sortable by rank or kills and grouped from bosses down to the rest. Open it from any player's hiscores page.
